MSC Sailing Cup Debuts with Success in Valencia

MSC Sailing cup 2025

On 11–12 September, the first MSC Sailing Cup took place at the Real Club Náutico of Valencia, bringing together teams from MSC’s head office in Geneva and MSC Spain with key partners from the maritime and logistics industry for two days of racing, teamwork and coastal celebration.

The event perfectly reflected MSC’s core values – respect for the sea, resilience, precision and passion. Local sailing teams from partners including Grupo Alonso, Grupo Caliche, Noatum Logistics and Pérez y Cía joined the race, experiencing the thrill of competition first-hand on board J80 model boats.

At the end of two intense days on the water, the MSC Geneva 2 team emerged victorious, led by skipper Kilian Wager with a crew of Massimiliano Venezian (Senior Vice President Liner MSC Geneva), Ginevra Smoquina (M&A lawyer, MSC), Jean-Charles Siraudin (HRIS Program Manager, MSC) and Jessica Aceves (Asset Management Manager, TiL)

The awards ceremony was followed by music and a traditional Spanish tardeo – an early evening gathering with drinks and entertainment – creating the perfect atmosphere to relax, network and celebrate with customers and partners.

This inaugural edition has set the stage for a new MSC tradition – one that builds on our longstanding values of strengthening relationships and celebrating our maritime spirit.

We warmly thank our partners and customers for joining us in this memorable challenge. Preparations are already underway for the next edition, and we look forward to building on this positive momentum, welcoming new participants and sharing our passion for sailing.
