The MSC Sailing Team was in action at Geneva’s Bol d’Or 2025 from 14-15 June, finishing the world’s largest inland lake regatta in fifth place in the monohull boat class. Covering 123 km across Lac Léman (Lake Geneva), the team competed against 400 other crews as they raced from Geneva to Le Bouveret and back.

Captained by professional skipper Nicolas Groux in their Psaros 33 boat were MSC employees Angelo Pietrantonio, Fabio Divina, Ginevra Smoquina, Francesco Guescini and Denis Clogenson. They completed the prestigious course in an impressive time of 20 hours, 22 minutes and 32 seconds.

Weather conditions were mixed throughout the weekend, with a cold front arriving during the event. Light breezes on Saturday were followed on Sunday by strong gusty winds and sporadic thunderstorms. Despite these challenging sailing conditions, the crew proved their prowess on the waves again with an extraordinary result.
