Contingency  Adjustment Surcharge - Trade from IPAK and Middle East to Europe

20/12/2023

In view of the recent events in the Red Sea, MSC has taken the decision to divert its ships via the Cape of Good Hope to maintain the safety of the crew, cargo, and ship.

This diversion will mean an increase in transit time depending on the destination and/or transshipment point involved.

Further, as from 23 December 2023 (last container gate-in date) until further notice, MSC will implement Contingency Adjustment Surcharge (CAC) of USD 1500/container on all shipments from Indian Sub-Continent (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka) and Middle East to Europe/Scandinavia/Baltic/ Mediterranean/Adriatic and Black Sea destinations.
