The Cold Store is equipped with CO₂ refrigeration systems, offering energy-efficient and eco-friendly cooling, precise temperature control across all zones, and mobile racking systems that minimize product handling and maintain product integrity. From citrus and dairy to frozen foods, we ensure optimal conditions for every commodity. 

Fully Accredited & Compliant

MSC meets the highest international and local standards to support your cold chain needs. The facility has BRCGS Food Safety Certification, a first for Durban cold stores. As well as Occupational Health & Safety Accreditation. It is registered with South Africa’s Perishable Products Export Control Board (PPECB), Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development (DALRRD), Border Management Authority (BMA), and South African customs. With bonded warehouse status and a capacity for 4,000 bonded pallets, the facility enables deferred duty payments and secure export storage, ensuring compliance and reliability at every step.

Durban Cold Storage offers a complete landside logistics solution, featuring cold storage and handling, transport coordination, seamless warehouse management system (WMS) integration with customers and third-party vendors, and a customer portal for real-time access to stock, invoices, and documents.
