MSC Reaffirms its Presence at Africa CEO Forum 2025 with Exclusive CEO Interview

MSC is thrilled to participate in the upcoming Africa CEO Forum, set to take place on 12-13 May in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. As a major sponsor of the event, this marks our eight consecutive year in attendance. The forum is expected gather over 2,000 industry leaders and government officials from across various sectors and countries, and will be held under the theme of " Can New Deal Between State and Private Sector deliver the continent a Winning Hand ? ".
At MSC, we understand the importance of this platform as a forum for meaningful discussions on African economies, and we are proud to be part of it. Our CEO, Soren Toft, will be among the senior leadership team representing MSC at the forum
On 13 May at 07.30 GMT MSC’s CEO will do an exclusive one-on-one interview with Ramah Nyang, CGTN and Bloomberg Africa Anchor. Soren will discuss how Africa, particularly through the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), can enhance its role in global trade amidst geopolitical shifts, with a focus on MSC's investments, addressing piracy, improving customs regimes, and boosting port connectivity.
Our commitment to Africa at MSC dates back to 1971, and we have since invested significantly in the continent. This is reflected in our 45+ country presence and 72 weekly ocean services that serve 65 different ports, enabling connectivity between Africa and the rest of the world. In addition, we have established a growing network of inland and logistics services across the continent and invested in port terminal infrastructure in Togo, Côte d’Ivoire, DRC, Nigeria, Morocco and Namibia.
