As a global leader in shipping and logistics, MSC continues to expand its intermodal network to strengthen connectivity and efficiency across Europe.

MSC has launched a new intermodal rail service operating from the Batajnica terminal near Belgrade, connecting Serbia directly with the Port of Trieste.

Launched in October 2025, this new intermodal service offers customers shipping automotive parts, ores, machinery, packaging materials and consumer goods a faster, more predictable connection from Serbia to global markets.

"This new rail link represents another step in strengthening Serbia’s and Balkans region position within MSC’s global logistics network,” says Stevica Carapic, Regional Managing Director (Serbia, North Macedonia, Montenegro) “By combining rail and ocean transport, we can offer customers more reliable and sustainable supply chain solutions.”
