MSC Speeds up Shipments to Middle East Markets for Spanish Fruit & Vegetable Growers

10/01/2020

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company, a global leader in shipping and logistics, is developing export services for Spanish fruit and vegetables growers by adding Valencia as new port of call on its Indus Express service, enabling fast and direct connections to Middle East markets.

The fastest transit times will not only make possible for perishables to reach destinations in better conditions, but also open the door for producers to explore new business opportunities.

The main advantages of the premium Indus Express service are:

  • Operations in Valencia: Friday/Saturday, perfect for harvesting and pre-cooling the cargo at the beginning of the week, with the possibility of loading containers the last days of the week

  • Direct service to Jebel Ali, from 14 days transit time

  • Direct service to King Abdullah Port, from 7 days transit time

  • Competitive fast transit times to Persian Gulf countries

With the introduction of the Indus Express in Valencia, MSC continues upgrading its service offer to help develop the fruit and vegetable export business in Spain. This is a premium service for reefer cargo shippers, providing a rapid alternative to existing continuing MSC services between Spain and the Middle East.

The first call of Indus Express is expected in Valencia on Saturday, 3 October.
