MSC Introduces New War Risk Surcharge

Dear Customers,

MSC would like to inform the trade that : in view of the tensions in the area we are compelled to implement a War Risk Surcharge for all cargoes moving to / from the Arabian Gulf ( Bahrein, Iraq, Kuwait , Oman , Qatar , Saudi Arabia ( Gulf Area : Dammam, Jubail ), UAE:    

  • from/ to All Trades (except U.S.A., China and EEA trades): USD 40 per TEU as from July 8th, 2019, Bill of Lading Date  
  • from/to EEA*: the war risk surcharge will apply as from July 8th, 2019, Bill of Lading Date. Please contact your local MSC agent for any further information
  • from/ to U.S.A.: USD 40 per TEU as from Augus 1st, 2019, Bill of Lading Date   
  • from/ to China: USD 40 per TEU as from August 1st, 2019, Bill of Lading Date   

The above charge will be payable by the Freight Paying Party.
