Year-round support,
from peak season to low season
MSC has been transporting vegetables such as potatoes, carrots, corn and spinach for decades. Our global team of more than 1,000 reefer experts are trained regularly on the latest standards and processes. We create tailor-made solutions to meet each customer’s needs – including flexible solutions to accommodate seasonal fluctuations in production volumes.
Advanced reefer technology

To keep your vegetables in the best possible condition, our world-leading reefer fleet features the latest temperature control technology. We follow highly standardised control procedures to optimise the cooling process, using Controlled Atmosphere (CA) technologies such as StarCool® CA, XtendFRESH®, Liventus®, Maxtend® and Purfresh® to maximise shelf life.

The perfect conditions
for your cargo

We use dehumidification technology and vent settings to control humidity levels inside the container and allow cooler, external air to circulate. This is very important for vegetables, because fresh air helps to remove the heat and gases that these perishable goods produce, including ethylene (C2H4) and carbon dioxide (CO2).

Did you know?
Dehumidification is particularly important for onions, ginger and garlic.
