PSS and EBS – Trade from NWC, ScanBaltic, West Med, Adriatic & Canary to The Caribbean

Due to the strong demand of containers and consequent difficulties to supply needed equipment, together with our willingness to offer reliable services MSC will increase the Equipment Imbalance Surcharge (EBS) and the Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for cargo moving from NWC, ScanBaltic, West Med, Adriatic and Canary to the Caribbean.

As from 3 June 2021 and until further notice EBS and PSS will increase as follows:

  • EBS: from current USD 500 to USD 1000 per dry container, and from USD 1500 to USD 2000 per reefer container.
  • PSS: from current USD 1200 to USD 1700 on all equipment types.

Any other elements of the price, for the relevant trades published on msc.com, still apply and remain unchanged. Please consult MSC’s website or contact your local agent for any further information.
