From Antwerp to Alexandria - Moving Railcars for Cairo’s Metro
This year, MSC takes you behind the scenes of a remarkable project cargo operation from the Port of Antwerp. A full trainset of nine railcars, each up to 40 tonnes and 22 metres long, was carefully loaded for transport to Alexandria in Egypt – part of a larger project which will move 495 railcars in total between 2025 and 2028. Once in Egypt, the trainsets will be a part of Cairo’s expanding metro and will help transport around 2.5 million passengers every day.
See it first-hand at our stand, where a scaled railcar model brings this project to life. True to the original, experience the scale, precision and expertise that define MSC’s approach to project cargo.
