MSC to Discuss Technology and Innovation at USC's 8th Annual Summit

06/10/2020

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company is delighted to be returning to USC’s Annual Global Supply Chain Excellence Summit - an event that brings together thought leaders and experts in vertical markets and supply chain competencies. The summit, usually held in Los Angeles, will be offered in a virtual capacity this year and is scheduled to take place between 13-14 October.

Sponsored by USC Marshall's Center for Global Supply Chain Management, the USC annual summit will be offering perspectives on critical issues throughout the supply chain ecosystem, touching on topics like the blockchain; finance; healthcare, and sustainability.

Discussing the very important topics of technology and innovation, André Simha, Chief Digital & Information Officer at MSC, and Chairman of industry-wide digital container shipping association (DCSA), will be featured alongside representatives from different areas of the logistics industry to investigate key technology trends, consumer and enterprise behaviours, and tech start-ups, both in these very testing times and with a look to the future of the industry.

MSC has long recognised the importance of digitalisation across the shipping industry and has been one of the pioneers behind its digital transformation with a view to improve efficiency, transparency and security across the entire supply chain ecosystem. By pioneering the use of digital innovations and IoT technologies, both through its own pilot initiatives and in technology projects sponsored by multiple carriers, MSC is committed to creating new value for customers.
