MSC Recognized as Ocean Carrier of the Year by the Northwest Seaport Alliance
13/10/2026
MSC has been recognized as Ocean Carrier of the Year by the Northwest Seaport Alliance (NWSA) through its annual North Star Awards program.
Presented each year, the North Star Awards recognize organizations that contribute to the growth and success of the Seattle-Tacoma gateway and the broader Pacific Northwest supply chain. The Ocean Carrier of the Year award is presented to the carrier that achieved the largest year-over-year growth in container volumes through NWSA terminals.
The recognition reflects MSC's continued growth in the Pacific Northwest and the trust placed in the company by customers moving cargo through the Seattle-Tacoma gateway. It also highlights the collective efforts of the many organizations that support the movement of goods throughout the region.
MSC works closely with customers, terminal operators, ILWU LABOR, trucking companies, rail providers, and port stakeholders to help ensure efficient and reliable cargo flows through the gateway. The company also recognizes the dedication of its Seattle-based team, whose daily efforts contribute to supporting customers and strengthening local supply chain connections.
"We are honored to receive this recognition from the Northwest Seaport Alliance," said Christopher Parvin, MSC USA. "This award reflects the hard work and dedication of our teams, the Port of Seattle, terminal operators ILWU LABOR, transportation providers, and our customers who trust us every day. We are proud of our partnership with the Port and the local maritime community. Together, we help keep supply chains moving and support jobs and economic growth throughout the region."
MSC remains committed to delivering reliable service and building long-term partnerships across the Pacific Northwest. The company thanks the Northwest Seaport Alliance for the recognition and extends its appreciation to the customers, partners, and maritime community whose collaboration contributed to this achievement.
