The MSC Sailing Team has secured 1st place in Category 4 and 37th place overall in the 58th Barcolana, the world’s largest regatta, which took place in Trieste from 2 to 11 October.

This marks the team’s sixth time at the event and fourth consecutive win, having secured first place in its category in 2023, 2024 and 2025.

Watch this year’s highlights:

A 10-day festival of sailing and fun
Proudly sponsored by MSC, the Barcolana takes place every October in the Gulf of Trieste in northern Italy. This year saw a record turn-out with 1,858 boats, more than 15,000 sailors and hundreds of thousands of spectators.

The MSC Sailing Team, consisting of six colleagues led by a professional skipper, raced to victory in their category in the company’s iconic yellow and black Psaros33 yacht.

In addition to competing, MSC welcomed visitors to its waterfront stand and held events for customers and families. Featuring a distinctive two-floor design with a terrace overlooking the action, the space offered a lively and welcoming area for all, including spaces for MSC Cruises, MSC Cargo, and an area dedicated to MSC Foundation’s initiatives and partnerships, including a marine education programme that has reached thousands of primary and secondary school students since 2015.

“ The Barcolana is much more than a regatta: it is a celebration of the sea, the community and the passion that unites those who sail in it. For us at MSC, the sea is home, inspiration and responsibility, and that’s why we are delighted to share this moment with Trieste and with all who cherish its maritime heritage. “
