MSC Sailing Team Among Top 30 Boats at the Bol d’Or 2026

12/06/2026

The MSC Sailing Team secured another solid result at Geneva’s Bol d’Or 2026 from 5-7 June, finishing finishing ninth in their class at the world’s largest lake regatta.

This prestigious race covers 123 km across Lac Léman, from Geneva to Le Bouveret and back. Almost 400 boats from eight different countries took part, turning the lake into a vibrant festival of sailing.

A strong performance in challenging conditions

This year’s very light winds created challenging conditions for all the participating crews, leading to longer race times than usual.

Captained by professional skipper Nicolas Groux, the Psaros 33 high-performance racing yacht was crewed by MSC employees Angelo Pietrantonio, Denis Clogenson, Martin Thomle, Mattia Musumeci, Damien Bernard. Despite the lack of wind, they completed the race in an impressive 18 hours and seven minutes, putting the team in 29th place overall.

More sailing success for MSC

This impressive result follows a series of successful performances for MSC’s European sailing teams. The Geneva team won the Genève-Rolle-Genève regatta in the Psaros 33 category on 30 May, while our Spanish crew finished in eighth place at the Conde de Godó from 28 to 31 May in Barcelona.
