Due to major operational challenges caused by safety concerns and a fuel shortage, road transportation for cargo destined for Mali is temporarily suspended until further notice.
Consequently and with immediate effect, MSC will no longer accept bookings for Mali (via true B/L and via B/L pier and transit to Mali), until the situation is resolved. This measure applies to all ports of discharge, including the Abidjan, Dakar, Tema, Lome and Conakry corridors.
However, for all bookings accepted before 06 November 2025, in accordance with clause 19 of our Bill of Lading and Sea Waybill Terms and Conditions, MSC offer the following options for affected cargo:
- Deliver the cargo to the contracted port of discharge or to the place of delivery; or
- Suspend the carriage of the cargo and store it ashore or afloat, and endeavour to forward them as soon as possible; or
- Store the cargo on behalf of the Merchant at any place or port which MSC may deem safe and convenient, from the date of discharge, at Merchant’s costs until the final leg to Mali can be performed by road.
We apologise for any disruption and delay your cargo may experience. MSC continues to monitor closely the situation and will inform you as soon as services can resume.
Should you have any questions, please contact your local MSC representatives in our global network of more than 675 offices.
