Discover MSC at Flemish Port Day 2023

05/05/2023

MSC is pleased to be participating in the Flemish Port Day on 7 May 2023. The event will be held at locations throughout Flanders and provides the local community with an unique look behind the scenes of the Flemish ports. Ports across the region will be participating, including Antwerp-Bruges, Ghent and Ostend.

Insights into global trade

Belgium is an important gateway for global trade and has a well-developed transportation network, with multiple ports and airports serving as entry points for goods from all over the world. Its ports, particularly the Port of Antwerp-Bruges, which handled over 285 million tons of cargo in 2022*, are among the busiest in Europe and offer important access to countries such as Germany, Austria and Hungary.

Insights into MSC
As part of Flemish Port Day, MSC Belgium will be providing a guided boat tour through the Port of Antwerp, conducted by MSC Belgium's management. The tour will give participants the opportunity to view MSC ships and the MPET terminal, which is one of the largest terminals in Europe, from the water; a unique way for people to find out more about MSC and its activities in Belgium.

MSC Belgium has been based in Antwerp since 1999 and is an important hub for MSC’s global trade services due to its central location in Europe and excellent infrastructure connections. Dealing with important commodities from fruit and sugar to plastics and automotive components, MSC Belgium offers modern and innovative door-to-door, tri-modal services via truck, rail and barge as well as local facilities such as fumigation and liquid cargo solutions.

Welcome to our visitors!

To all the visitors of the Flemish Port Day: we wish you a pleasant sailing   and look forward to welcoming you on board!
