MSC Enhances Its Asia to USA West Coast Network
02/04/2026
As part of our continuous efforts to enhance service reliability and schedule stability, MSC has reviewed its Orient, Sentosa and Chinook services operating within the Asia to USA West Coast network.
Please find below the upcoming service changes and their associated operational benefits:
• Orient Service
o Qingdao will replace Haiphong as the first port of call.
o Oakland will be removed from the rotation.
o By reducing the number of port calls and adjusting the port sequence, the service will be less exposed to port congestion risks, allowing for improved schedule reliability and more consistent on time arrivals.
• Sentosa Service
o Haiphong will be added to the rotation.
o This will allow us to offer improved transit times compared to the previous routing, while optimizing port coverage within a more stable network structure.
• Chinook Service
o Haiphong will be removed from the rotation.
o This change provides additional schedule buffer, reducing recovery pressure in case of operational delays and supporting a more stable and predictable service performance
