MARIE MAERSK, deployed on MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company’s SILK SERVICE, voyage number 233 will be temporarily stopped in Tanjung Pelepas due to confirmed cases of COVID-19 on board.
Crew members are being tested and the affected crew members will be placed in quarantine and provided with medical support if required. Options for crew replacement are being investigated and a delay in the vessel departure from Tanjung Pelepas is anticipated, which will not be recoverable and will result in a blank sailing.
Gdansk will be included as a Port of Destination on MSC’s SHOGUN SERVICE, for vessel MSC ALEXANDRA, for voyage 234W. This vessel will not call POD Rotterdam, which will be loaded on the ALBATROSS SERVICE.
