PSS - Trade from Europe, Canary Islands to Canada and Mexico

As per our previous communication in May, we announced the increase of PSS rate due to the strong demand of containers and consequent difficulties to supply needed equipment. As the situation remains unchanged, MSC will increase the Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for cargo moving from NWC, ScanBaltic, West Med, Adriatic and Canary Islands to Canada and Mexico.

As from 1 October 2021 and until further notice, the PSS will increase as follows:

  • from current USD 1’000 to USD 1’500 per 20’ (all equipment types)
  • from current USD 1’000 to USD 2’000 per 40’ (all equipment types)

Any other elements of the price, for the relevant trades published on msc.com, still apply and remain unchanged. Please consult MSC’s website or contact your local agent for any further information.
