Emergency Operations Surcharge - Trade from Greece, Türkiye, Black Sea and Adriatic (Non-Italian ports) to NWC, UK and Scanbaltic

22/10/2026

MSC will introduce an Emergency Operations Surcharge (EOS) on the trade from Greece, Türkiye, Black Sea and Adriatic (Non-Italian ports) to NWC, UK and Scanbaltic.

The surcharge reflects the additional operating costs associated with the present market and operational environment, and will support the continued operation of a viable service directly connecting North Europe.

The EOS will be effective from 01 November 2026 (B/L date) until further notice and will be charged as follows:

  • USD 200 per Container
  • EUR 200 per Container
  • GBP 200 per Container

In parallel, MSC will revise the rotation of its Main service as follows: Le Havre – Antwerp – Felixstowe – Vigo – Sines – Piraeus – Gemlik – Tekirdag – Aliaga – Sines – Le Havre.

The streamlined rotation is designed to improve schedule reliability and deliver faster turnaround times, while preserving efficient and dependable connectivity for customers across the region.
