The second annual MSC Sailing Cup was held in Valencia from 10 – 11 September, bringing together clients and partners from across the maritime and logistics sectors for two days of competition, networking and collaboration.
Celebrated at the Real Club Náutico de Valencia, the regatta provided a unique experience for participants and spectators, building on the solid pillars laid during its inaugural edition in 2025.
Two days of sailing, teamwork and shared experience
Two days of intensely competitive racing delivered both sporting excitement and meaningful interaction between companies.Team MSC Spain 1 won the regatta, guided by Ignacio Ballester, Carlos de Castellvi, Ana Lillo, Leticia Martínez and Nélido Manso.
Special mention goes to MSC Geneva 1 and MSC Spain 2, which came second and third respectively.
The event concluded with a vibrant evening party, where live music and a relaxed atmosphere provided the perfect setting for guests to unwind, connect and celebrate alongside customers and partners.
Ignacio Ballester, Deputy Managing Director of MSC Spain and member of the MSC Spain Sailing Team, highlighted the event’s significance: “This initiative reflects the dedication and passion of the MSC Sailing Teams and is a great example of how teamwork and collaboration can bring people together across our industry.”
Looking ahead
The 2026 edition reinforced the MSC Sailing Cup as more than a sailing event. It brought colleagues and customers together to build stronger relationships, celebrate teamwork and create lasting connections across the maritime and logistics community.
