MSC continues to monitor and assess the developing situation in Israel to ensure the safety of its personnel and minimise disruption to customer supply chains.
As announced in our previous update, MSC stopped the clock for Detention and Demurrage (D&D) for import containers discharged in ASH or HF between 8 October and 8 November to ensure continued flexibility and facilitation of our customers’ logistics operations.
Please be advised the D&D period will be extended until 22 November 2023[1].
MSC will continue to analyse and evaluate events as they develop and will communicate all new information and any changes to our customers as they occur.
If you have any further questions or require assistance, please contact your local MSC representatives.
MSC wants to extend its deepest sympathies to all those affected by the terrible events in Israel and express our solidarity with the people and their families.
MSC has been monitoring the situation since the conflict started on Saturday 7 October 2023, and is in close contact with local management in the region.
Our offices are closed at this time, but we are grateful to report that our staff are currently able to work remotely to ensure continuity of our operations and customer service.
Since Israel’s major terminals are operational, as at 9 October, we continue to deliver cargo to/from Israel.
MSC will continue to monitor the impact of the security situation on trade and follow advice from the government and will review its service network accordingly.
We will update customers on any changes to the schedule related to MSC services.
Should you have any questions, please contact your local MSC representatives.
