Panama Canal Surcharge Update - Trade from Asia to US East Coast and US Gulf Coast

Due to the ongoing draft restrictions at the Panama Canal, which continue to reduce vessel capacity on services transiting through the canal, MSC will revise the Panama Canal Surcharge (PCS) applicable to all shipments from Southeast Asia, China, Korea and Japan to the US East Coast and US Gulf Coast.
As from 12 September 2026 (gate-in date) until further notice, the PCS will be charged as follows for all cargo types:
- USD 149 per 20’
- USD 297 per 40’
- USD 376 per 45ft
