The advisory is a result of the ongoing work on the Jahra Road Development Plan, including the proposed demolition of the Ghazali Bridge.

Direct access to Shuwaikh is likely to be significantly impacted, with heavy congestion predicted in the roads around the terminal.

MSC is pleased to be able to provide its weekly call option at Shuaiba Terminal – a route which has been in place for a number of years.

For those customers still wishing to unload their cargo in Shuwaikh, a charge of USD 300 per 20’ and USD 600 / 40’ (congestion surcharge) will be applied.
This charge will be payable by the receiving party, for cargo reaching Shuwaikh, with a Bill of Lading dated as from September 15 th, 2016 and having originated from any European departure ports.
