MSC is delighted to be sponsoring and speaking at this year’s ‘World of Fresh Ideas’ (WOFI) conference. Taking place from 26 to 27 May 2021, this free learning and networking event includes over 50 hours of talks, interviews, live Q&A sessions and interactive discussions with leading experts from across the fruit and vegetable industry.

WOFI is organised by Fruitnet with support from the global trade fair ‘Fruit Logistica’. Although ‘Fruit Logistica’ was cancelled this year due to the pandemic, WOFI will still be going ahead in a virtual format – offering an unmissable opportunity to connect with all key stakeholders of the cold chain, including producers, growers, manufacturers, shippers, carriers, vendors and more. You can view the full agenda here.

Your fruit and vegetables are our focus

As a global leader in refrigerated transportation, MSC operates one of the world’s largest and most advanced reefer container fleets. We have been investing in reefer technology for decades, and we shipped over 1.9 million refrigerated containers in 2020 alone, topping our previous record of 1.8 million in 2019. Today, in spite of the challenges posed by COVID-19, we continue to adapt our offering and network to keep up with this ever-changing market. For example, we introduced several new services in just a few months, and we work closely with customers to create tailor-made solutions for seasonal produce.

Meet our reefer team

MSC reefer specialists from all continents will be at the conference to discuss your logistical needs. Our expert team will also be explaining how MSC uses the latest reefer technology to keep fruit and vegetables fresh throughout their journey, whether your cargo is on the move for a day, a week or more - from truck, to train, to barge, to ship and every step in between.

Digitalisation in the spotlight

The event will also explore the increasingly important role of digitalisation in reefer trade. Andre Simha, Global Chief Digital & Information Officer at MSC and Chairman of the Digital Container Shipping Association (DCSA), will be taking part in a discussion with other industry leaders on how the fresh produce business can unlock a more technologically advanced, efficient and sustainable logistics network. Click here to join the ‘Logistics Focus: All Hands on Deck’ session on 27 May at 15:00 CET.
