MSC has announced the introduction of a new service to assist shippers following the recent Hanjin announcement. The Maple service starts on 15th September.
MSC is to introduce a new service on the Transpacific Trade from 15th September, 2016.
The move is designed to assist shippers, following the announcement by Hanjin on 31st August that it was entering into receivership.
MSC’s additional sailing will be called MAPLE and will call at Busan, Shanghai, Yantian, Prince Rupert, Busan. The service will be made up of six vessels of 5’000 TEU capacity.
In order to cover the anticipated high initial demand, the first two sailings will call Yantian, Shanghai, Busan, Long Beach.
