New export requirement to Ghana, Advanced Shipment Information (ASHI) document required effective March 1, 2015.
Dear Valued Customer,
MSC (Canada) Inc. wishes to advise you of a new export requirement for shipments from Canada to Ghana. Effective March 1, 2015 (bill of lading date), all shipments to Ghana must be accompanied by an Advanced Shipment Information (ASHI) document (cargo tracking document). This document is mandatory and a requirement for customs clearance through any of the country’s ports of entry.
For customers with shipments destined to Ghana sailing on or after March 1st, please ensure to provide a valid ASHI document to our Export Documentation team when providing your shipping instructions, so it can be manifested on the bill of lading.
For further details or for assistance applying for an ASHI document, please contact the nominated general agent Antaser Afrique Bvba directly (contact details for regional agents available at: https://www.antaser.com/antaser/pub/agency/list.)
If you have any additional questions, please reach out to your local Sales or Customer Service Representative.
MSC appreciates your continued support.
