MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A. wishes to advise clients that due to the new requirements of New Zealand customs, Import Cargo Reports are to be lodged strictly no later than 48 hours prior to vessel arrival. We have therefor adjusted our DTX deadlines for the New Kiwi Express Southbound Service.
For cargo ex Brisbane, deadlines remain the same with Forwarding Instructions to be received no later than 9am (EST) on the day of vessel departure.
For cargo ex Sydney, the deadline has been brought forward based upon the vessel departing on Sundays as scheduled. All Forwarding Instructions must be submitted to us no later than 9am (EST) on the Friday before vessel departure over the weekend. DTX must be sent by MSC Australia each Friday in order for our agents in New Zealand to process and submit to customs on Monday to meet the 48 hours before arrival deadline. This enables MSC to send arrival notices to your customers in a timely manner.
For shippers failing to provide MSC with the Forwarding Instructions as per the above requirements, an AUD $65 Non-Forwarding Instruction fee per bill of lading will be applicable.
For further information, please contact your local MSCA office.
