MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A wishes to provide shippers with an update on the Maersk Bratan 519N that was operating on our Oceania Loop 2 Service when it encountered technical issues on Monday 29th June, three days after departure from Auckland, New Zealand.
The vessel operator has confirmed that the Maersk Bratan arrived in Balboa, Panama.
The Maersk Bratan has not been able to transit through the Panama Canal and therefore all cargo has been discharged in Balboa.
Cargo contingency plans are as follows:
Cargo for Philadelphia and Charleston is being transferred from Balboa to Manzanillo, Panama and planned to connect with the vessel MV Andes v1505.
ETA Philadelphia – 05th August
ETA Charleston – 08th August
All other cargo that was transhipping through Cristobal, Panama is being transferred from Balboa to Cristobal to connect with MSC transhipment services.
