Starting in July 2015 MSC is transferring ECSA String I and USEC to WCSA services port operations to NYCT*.
The first vessel for the ECSA service will be MSC Ingrid on 18 July and, for the WCSA service, the MSC Sariska on 21 July.
With 3 deep water berths, 12 inbound and 8 outbound Truck lanes and 375 reefer plugs (expandable up to 500), this new terminal will strengthen MSC’s position in the market.
* New York Container Terminal.

Customer benefits of NYCT
NYCT will relieve the chronic congestion experienced in other terminals servicing NYC area (APM/Maher/PNCT), especially during the peak summer season. NYCT is the only terminal offering on dock Customs Exam Station and warehousing (dry and reefer) as well as empty pick-up and delivery of full loads from same location. On the documentation side the Ez-Pass paperless gate operations are expected to reduce turnaround time (TAT) in the terminal to just 30 minutes – the best among all NYC ports. The proximity of NYCT to warehousing facilities and road networks to Brooklyn, Long Island, New Jersey and I-95 highway corridor, will make for smoother onward transit of cargo to final destinations.
