MAERSK EINDHOVEN Incident on MSC’s Pearl Service - Update 2

Attn: customers with cargo onboard MAERSK EINDHOVEN voyage 106S

We refer to our previous communication in respect of the MAERSK EINDHOVEN which lost 260 containers overboard and incurred damaged on 65 containers onboard during heavy weather incident on 17 February 2021 en route from Xiamen, China, to Los Angeles, USA.

The MAERSK EINDHOVEN was carrying cargo for MSC customers on voyage 106S as part of our Pearl service.

As expected, the vessel berthed on 25 February and port operations could take place. The damaged containers were discharged, and repairs completed. Maersk has confirmed MAERSK EINDHOVEN has sailed on 2 March with estimated time arrival at the Los Angeles anchorage on 13 March. This is subject to change due to the significant congestion in the LA area and the vessel operator will inform us once they have precise information on the waiting line at the anchorage.

MSC regrets any inconvenience caused by this incident and we will communicate again in due course as soon as we have updated information to pass on to you from the vessel operator.
