For the first time celebrated in Santo Domingo.
The Corporate Commercial Expo “Hub Camara Santo Domingo” took place during 14th -17th October. The event brought an innovative concept, exclusive corporate deals, Trade Mission visits, Business rounds, lectures and workshops.
MSC Santo Domingo participated in stand 34 and was able to take advantage of the opportunities that HUB Santo Domingo provided. This commercial event was one of the most important of our country aimed to an audience of potential buyers and suppliers, investors interested in doing business, professionals and undergraduate’s in careers related to the business area, all together in a favorable environment designed to served and promote companies to interact with potentially local and international clients. HUB Santo Domingo was indeed the ideal place to expand trade relations.
Jorge Zimbello, Managing Director of MSC Dominican Republic Regional office, observed:
“Experience at HUB was great. We are locally performing huge efforts on improving customer service offering something different and with quality to the local market. In the case of this event we had the chance to receive the visit of many new potential clients and existing accounts in a proper environment like HUB created for this purpose. We also took the opportunity to launch our new web based application called Nautica which allows our clients to generate their own statements of accounts, payments receipts, transmission and cargo delivery order automatic creation improving the overall container clearance process. In MSC Dominicana, we are proud and investing on a new way of communication and customer service with our client database and our presence in HUB was crucial as a compromise with the Santo Domingo Chamber of commerce and the local foreign trade”.
Hub Camara Santo Domingo, the first fair of the Chamber of Commerce and Production of Santo Domingo (CCPSD) concluded with the confirmation of some 200 business appointments, 75 of them local businesses.
The event lasted three days and involved 47 chambers of commerce in the world, nine European Chambers Euro chambers grouped and represented in equal amount in Central America, the Haitian Chamber of Commerce, the Federation of Chambers of Commerce of the DR (FEDOCAMARAS), representing 27 national chambers and the American Chamber of Commerce.
The event also involved around 157 exhibiting companies, including broad participation of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) with a total of 33 stands subsidized by the CCPSD to compete equally with large companies. Organizers statistics show that more than 10,000 people visited the conferences, lectures and workshops in activity.
The new trade fair concept was developed under the format business to business (B2B), got a record that more than 80% of exhibitors in the closed business event.
Trade negotiations include local and international companies in the agricultural and agro-industry, construction, food, hospitality and services.
