MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A. would like to remind clients of the regulatory reporting requirements, with reference to Marine Order 41.
We need to bring to your attention the following crucial areas, when booking and submitting your Multimodal Dangerous Goods Form (MMDG) - Dangerous Goods declaration, for approval.
Please refer to term 3 (a) of the MSC referenced Booking Confirmation. The booking is not confirmed, until cargo acceptance is provided by MSC.
Please ensure, that the latest version of the MO41 (Multimodal Dangerous Goods Form - MMDG) is utilised for your declaration and take specific attention to the notes page. Further, AMSA provides the MMDG form for use via the following web page http://www.amsa.gov.au/forms-andpublications/international/forms/Ship-Safety/index.asp. The current version of the form, is AMSA 250 (8/13). It is the shipper's responsibility to fill in the form correctly, as required by the IMDG Code.
For your general information, the Master of the subject vessel/voyage, also has the responsibility to ensure compliance, before accepting the Dangerous Goods Cargo.
Please also note, that Marine Order 41 requires a complying copy of the MMDG form, to be carried by the vessel, as part of the documentation for shipment of Dangerous Goods from an Australian port.
For further information, please contact your local MSCA office.
