CrystalClear provides a complete, unified graphical user interface for data collection and processing of single crystal X-ray diffraction images from two-dimensional position sensitive detectors such as imaging plate area detectors and charged-coupled device (CCD) detectors.-

CrystalClear incorporates the concept that data acquisition and data processing should be combined under one common, modern interface.
Behind the CrystalClear interface lies d*TREK®, a powerful compute engine designed to process data from all Rigaku detectors and detectors at synchrotrons. CrystalClear also provides an interface to FS_Process developed by Rigaku crystallographers in Japan and the TwinSolve system for processing twinned samples.
CrystalClear was designed to be task-oriented. The individual steps involved in the crystallographic experiment are organized in an interactive flowbar. This interface tool leads the user step-by-step through the experiment and helps the new user avoid mistakes. Individual steps can either be run with default parameters or the associated menus can be accessed.
