MicroMax™-007 HF DW microfocus X-ray generator

The world's most popular micro-focus rotating anode X-ray generator is now available as a dual wavelength source. When combined with Rigaku's VariMax™ DW, the MicroMax-007 HF DW gives a research group new capability in terms of phasing or wavelength flexibility. The anode of the MicroMax-007 HF DW is double banded with Cu/Cr or Cu/Mo target combinations available as standard configurations and on special request, Kα and Kβ lines of Cr, Cu, Mo, and Ag are available in custom combinations.

MicroMax-007 HF DW configured with a RAPID area detector system

The basis of the MicroMax-007 HF DW is the MicroMax-007 HF, the successor to the first micro-focus rotating anode X-ray generator. With the dual wavelength capability, a researcher can now measure a sample with one wavelength, switch to a different wavelength and measure data again, without removing the sample. This minimizes errors that currently can occur when people use multiple wavelengths by measuring on different generators or by having to change optics between data sets. In combination with the VariMax DW optic, the MicroMax-007 HF DW truly becomes an easy to use in-house phasing system.
