Xsight beam imager system
As a specialized aid to X-ray beam optics alignment, Rigaku offers the Xsight imaging system providing real time imaging of the X-ray beam for X-ray crystallographic applications. Utilizing the latest in high performance CMOS video cameras, the Xsight can be attached directly to the collimator using one of the two adapters supplied or, by the use of the standard camera mounting hole, on any convenient camera mount.
Versatile attachment options
The system interfaces to the host computer via a USB 2.0 interface and is supplied with software enabling visualization and profiling of the X-ray beam in real time. The three collimator interfaces supplied offer two modes of operation. One mode allows use of the Xsight in an environment where X-ray scatter must be contained while the other provides an open beam configuration.
The first adapter, which mounts easily to the camera by use of a simple thumbscrew, slides over the collimator and avoids stray X-rays from being scattered. Other configurations leave the beam open with the second adapter attaching like the first. The third interface clips on to the collimator in the same manner as a beam stop and allows a pin to be inserted into the beam confirming precise alignment of the beam with the sample position.
